An SMS blast is a group of text messages sent during a short period. Businesses often use the term for an opt-in broadcast to customers who asked for alerts. It can also describe a controlled load test. Sending repeated texts without permission is spam or harassment, not a legitimate campaign.

A commercial SMS platform normally includes subscriber consent records, unsubscribe handling, sender registration, campaign scheduling, and delivery reporting. Protect a Number

In BOMBitUP, open the SMS section, select Protect List, enter the first name and phone number, and choose Protect Me. The app states that entries are cleared every two weeks. • Do not reply with personal or financial information.
• Use the phone's block and spam-reporting controls.
• Ask the mobile operator about network-level filtering.
